DISCOVER THE ORIENTAL DANCE ART FIELD
ABOUT IT
Mina Ali has been dancing for 22 years, trained in the “old school” tradition where she took notes from classes, traveled to Egypt to learn - before the time of Youtube & online classes.
She has completing professional programs including the AATEC – Mahmoud Reda legacy for professional dancers and has besides her dance profession been working in Norwegian hospitals for 18 years where she holds a diploma as an Auxiliary Nurse.
Over the time, Mina has seen that dancers develop professionalism in many ways—through performing, studying with teachers, teaching, doing competitions, or very often a mix of these paths.
Herself, she honed her skills by performing regularly in Norway from age 16, filming, analyzing and studying herself - learning from each show she had - parallelly with ongoing studying with her teachers.
For most of her career, Mina has been skeptical about certificates. Around 20 years ago, when certificates started to exist and became trendy, her teachers warned her that a piece of paper cannot make anyone professional—it’s just a paper. They believed that true skill comes from passion, dedication, and real experience, not certificates that one is paying for.
Mina has therefor created this program in response to student demand, designed to provide real insight from her experiences in Tunisia and abroad where it not only teaches the dance itself, but also how to thrive in the professional dance business while maintaining longevity, good health - taking care of their inner passion - based on her own experiences.
Students wishing to apply for the National Professional Card in Tunisia (for Tunisian nationalities) will receive guidance, including choreography preparation for their application.
Applying for the professional card is optional.
This program is for curious, dedicated, and hardworking dancers, not those seeking a certificate as a formality. It requires self-study of provided theoretical material and spreads training over time - allowing knowledge to be absorbed naturally with reflection and realism.
The focus is on developing skills related to the actual dance scene and teaching business - understanding the profession, and integrating passion with practical knowledge, making it affordable and effective for serious dancers in Tunisia and abroad.
